Sunday is my day for long runs. Always has been, and is for most runners. I headed out towards Sandbanks, with the aim of getting in a half marathon distance. It was pretty clear that it wasn’t going to be a ‘dry’ run – judging by the cloud banks building up over the Purbecks and heading over Poole harbour.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the rain came down, soon to be replaced with hail for a while. I used to think running in the rain was fun – but I think that has been ousted by running in hail, that was brilliant!!
