I took a bit of a trip back in time today, driving through the village of Loders brought back memories of some 8 years ago when I spent several days there in my first few days of my new job with Dorset Wildlife Trust.
This time though, I was headed for the Village hall, as a guest of the West Dorset group at their Christmas lunch.
We all enjoyed a lovely meal of kingcombe hogget, whilst the members had prepared a fine selection of puddings. The Bakewell tart in particular was really very agreeable!
It was good to be able to spend some time chatting with the members, many of them being familiar faces as volunteers. So, many thanks to the West Dorset group for the invite and for a very enjoyable time, as well as the awakening of memories from years ago!
