I opted to head out for an early run today. Leaving the house at a little after 6:30am I knew it was a little bit nippy. Not quite cold enough for hat and gloves, but I was glad I’d decided on the long sleeved top. It wasn’t until I reached Upton Country park that I realised just how cold it was, as my footing became less sure on the icy surface. That’s right – ice!
It was still cold enough when I got back from my run some 50 mins later, for me to get a shot of the ice patterns on the car roof. I recall taking a similar picture towards the end of last winter, so for me this heralds the distinct change in seasons. We are now in the icy grip of Winter. Next week will see snow drifts. Just wait and see!
