I left the Poole office right on time, and battled through the rush hour traffic this evening, headed for Bournemouth. The local Sweatshop running shop were trialling a new time for the Monday Sweatshop Running Club, with a 17:45 start.
I made it with a few minutes to spare, and right on time we set off on the new 5k route. I did feel rather privileged, as I had the luxury of having a one to one session with the run leader – being the only person that had turned up for the new timings! Still, it was a good run and I take my hat off to the staff at Sweatshop for going ahead with the run as they had advertised it, despite me offering to just go for my own run rather than them having to go out as well. It’s that sort of commitment to their work that makes me admire the ethos of Sweatshop and its staff – well done to the team!
It was also my 5th run there, so I was duly presented with my SRC running shirt. Chuffed with that!
