#286 A bit of birch in the air

It’s that time of year again, when the birch trees dish out seeds galore at the slightest hint of a breeze. Suffice to say, we’ve had plenty of strong winds and the tally of birch seeds on the ground has reached epic proportions.
The image today is of a tideline of birch that has settled on the veg patch in our garden, after a weekend of rain and winds.

Little wonder that birch is such a successful coloniser then!
