I managed to find some time last week to gather some blackberries and a few apples. Fortunately for me, Carole is a dab hand at turning such foraged food items into highly enjoyable and very tasty meals.
So, whilst I was out chilling on my last decent mileage run ( 10 to be precise) before next weekends Bournemouth Marathon – Carole was busy in the kitchen. The result was a batch of simply awesome blackberry and apple crumbles. We’ve put them in the freezer for now, though I did keep one for this evening – with a mass of double cream. Wow! What a great dish!
