#252 South African cuisine

We popped into the South African Shop in Christchurch at the weekend, to pick up a reminder of our holiday there 5 years ago. A long abiding memory of the safari was the braai (BBQ), with a speciality sausage called boerewors the highlight. They come in a ring, like a Cumberland, but have a very distinctive taste – highly recommended. They are in fact, lecker – if I remember my South African words correctly!
