#213 Birds of a feather….

Sorry to have to break the news, but it seems that Summer is on it’s way out already…  The swallows and house martins were flocking around Brooklands farm today, occasionally descending onto the wires to rest and it seemed, have a right good natter to each other!

Lined up and raring to go..

They’d stay for a short while then suddenly all head off, except for the odd one or two that missed the call and seemed to sheepishly sit there for a while trying not to look too obvious!

The two that were left behind.

Not all the birds were content with sitting around on the wires all day though. I’m quite glad this pheasant chose to watch from a distance rather than even attempt to land on the wire – that would have been an accident waiting to happen!

Male pheasant, happy to keep his feet on the ground.
