#181 A new visitor to the garden

We’ve been here for a fair few years now, so it’s not often we get a new species drop by. Certainly not one that is quite so graceful as the one that turned up at the pond.

A lovely male Banded Demoiselle was fluttering round, putting the various damselflies to shame with his flight, and his stunning colours.  I’m not sure where he arrived from – they may be at the local ponds but I can’t say I’ve ever noticed them there. He’s welcome back anytime!
