Today’s image might not be much to shout about, but I’ve had a brilliant day – thanks to an inspired idea from Carole as part of my birthday celebrations.
34 years ago exactly, I was on Lundy Island for a week – watching puffins. Today, I returned and was delighted to find the puffins were still there on the same slopes that I remembered. It rained, but I didn’t care, I was reliving a distant memory.
The cliff-side was a bit steeper than I remembered though, and I’ll probably be waking in a cold sweat for weeks thinking about where I sat to get my views!
The puffin pics will have to wait though, as they need processing from RAW format. Will get them sorted at the weekend, along with the dolphins, sika deer, soays, raven, grey seal etc. yes, it really was that great a day!
I did take a shot on my phone from the top of the cliff, the views were simply breathtaking all across the island.
