#143 A walk up the track for lunch

It’s been a while since I wandered up the track from the Office at lunchtime. I’m usually too busy to fit in much more than a quick waltz around the meadow before heading back to the desk..

This time though, I decided to stretch my legs a little and head up the hill.  It’s typical Dorset farmland so no surprise that a pheasant happened to be around. Not a bad shot from my macro lens either!

Pretty impressive birds when you study them closely.

I followed that up by getting just about close enough to a female yellowhammer to get a passable image as she sat in tree, drying out..

Yellowhammer. There's a hint of yellow there.

Think I might try that walk again sometime soon – with the big lens instead of the macro, unless that pheasant is around. He’ll be almost too close to focus!
