#101 The Purbecks. Simply awesome scenery!

My image of the day blog has consisted of mainly one image per day, occasionally two, and rarely three. Today, it will be multiple images. Why? Because the scenery in the images is simply too awesome to be left off just because I’m trying to limit to one or two images a day..

It was day two of route marking for the Walk for Wildlife. I was marking the 13 mile route today. I didn’t take the trainees along, as I was running it – and didn’t think they’d relish that idea!

This is what it's all about. One of the route markers, ready to be deployed.

Starting out at Leeson House I headed for Dancing Ledge to pick up the route from yesterday. Along the coastpath, through Seacombe valley, onto Winspit..

Winspit - pretty impressive quarry site.

A long stretch followed before I reached St Aldhems Head – and the steps!  Down and back up again through a steep valley. A nice test of the legs, lungs and heart!

Stretching off into the distance - the dreaded steps!

They don’t look too bad from a distance. This is the view at half way – the only way is up.

Only one thing for it. Get those legs going!

The view out over Houns Tout, with Chapmans Pool below is simply breathtaking – or maybe it was the steps that made it feel that way!

What a view!

What a view!

So, the routes are all set. All ready for Sunday and the walkers..
