I was in London today, for a Heritage Lottery Fund progress meeting with lots of other Skills for the Future training programme managers.
I was a little disappointed that I didn’t spot any celebrities walking the streets paved with gold – not even the Queen or Boris were around.
In fact, London seemed remarkably quiet today.. The Underground was eerily quiet.
Our meeting was held at Birkbank College – a rather impressive building if you approach from the right side. Not so impressive if you approach from the side where they were cleaning out the drains.. Guess which way I came in? 😉
The meeting itself was extremely well organised and was a valuable catch-up with the HLF team. It was also really good to spend time discussing our various projects from across the UK. We’ve just entered our 4th year of the programme, yet I still managed to pick up a few new ideas. Pretty innovative stuff – stand by to be amazed at some time in the near future!
