#32 Feeding the birds

It’s been one of those days when it’s hard to decide what the image of the day will be.  I did Poole parkrun this morning, recording my fastest run of the year and only bettered by my PB set last May. Not that I took any photos of myself while running, so that option is out…  This afternoon then, I settled down with camera poised to get a shot of the siskins on the bird feeders. It started off sunny, then got cloudy, then got windy. Just as it was about to start raining I heard the unmistakable sound of the contact calls of the long tailed tit party as they dropped in for a top up at the suet block.  Just in time! I grabbed a couple of shots as the rain started to fall…  Phew!

Long tailed tits - amazingly chirpy, always on the go, non-stop calling to each other and always hungry. Sounds like a few people that I know!
